Technology - A Decade-Plus of Learning Research | DoviLearn®
Explore DoviLearn®’s decade-plus journey through accessible, adaptive and multimodal learning, from Immersion3.org research questions to Specialist AI Tutors.
A decade-plus of questions, tested in practice.
Since DoviLearn® launched in 2015, our e-learning product work has explored accessible digital delivery, personalised and adaptive routes, multimodal learning, and task-, project-, game- and conversation-based formats.
Today, those accumulated questions inform goal-led Specialist AI Tutor programmes. This is a first-person account of sustained product exploration, not a claim of uninterrupted formal academic research or guaranteed outcomes.
Principles that guide the work.
Start with access and the learner. Use the right mode for each task, learn through action, make competency evidence visible, and treat research as a loop of observation, testing, reflection, collaboration and revision.
Learning platforms in the wider ecosystem.
These referenced examples stand on their own and help illustrate how practical learning platforms organise access, content, practice and progress.
Educloud (opens in a new tab) describes an LMS with courses, lessons, quizzes, groups, certificates, progress and personalised learning paths.
E-Lab Academy (opens in a new tab) is a practical medical-laboratory learning platform offering courses and certificates.
E-Nurse Academy (opens in a new tab) is a nursing and midwifery practical-skills platform using video, quizzes and certificates; its current site says it is powered by Educloud.
Immersion3.org: an available project site and an earlier design framework.
Immersion3.org is the project site at the time of publication, 24 October 2026. The site is available and presents the project as inviting collaborative research. The September 2024 proposal is the principal archival document used for Designing Learning That Adapts, not the sole research source or a complete research record.
Site availability does not establish current research activity, implementation, participants, activity cadence, efficacy or outcomes.
The proposal provided an early technical and instructional design framework that informs today’s Specialist AI Tutor direction. This continuity concerns design questions, not proven efficacy or inherited technical implementation.

How this becomes a Specialist AI Tutor.
Understand the learner’s destination, shape a relevant programme, explain in more than one way, turn knowledge into practical tasks and conversation, then use competency checks and learner responses to guide the next step.
